Cheerleading/Poms Coach
Education:
• High School Diploma/GED
• CPR Certified
• AACCA Accreted
Experience/Qualifications:
• Cheer/Poms background
• Previous cheer coaching experience
• Experience working with youth
Qualifications:
• Ability to work with both youth and families
• Must have knowledge of choreography in cheer/poms
routines
• Must be able to spot and teach stunting and
tumbling
• Hold a valid AACCA Accreditation
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
• Responsible for all team program development.
• Must attend all practices and all performances.
• Work with Lead Dance Instructor in all team
matters.
• Must teach routines that are age and development
appropriate.
• Must use appropriate safety measures when
teaching tumbling and or stunting.
• Must choreograph and teach original routines.
• Must follow and enforce policies and procedures
of the Kenosha YMCA and educate patrons as
needed.
• Greet members and participants in a friendly
manner.
• Complete accident/incident reports as needed.
• Report failing equipment to supervisor.

Fitness Instructors:
We are looking for subs for all classes on an as needed basis. Must have
a group fitness certification.

Lifeguard
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Equivalent Desired 6 month's experience life guarding
in a recognized program
preferred.
- Red Cross, YMCA, or Ellis Lifeguard Training/Certification
Experience/Qualifications:
- Red Cross, YMCA, or Ellis Lifeguard Training/Certification
- Experience working with youth preferred
Qualifications:
- Ability to control up to 30 people in a pool environment
- Ability to work independently and stay alert
- Ability to resolve issues in professional manner
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
- Hold responsibility for the welfare and safety of all
participants in and around the swimming pool, whirlpool,
and deck and for seeing that people using the pool for different
purposes (i.e., open swimming, lap swimming and instruction) blend
together with minimal conflict
- Arrive to work dressed properly with appropriate uniform
and name tag
- Sign In/Out accurately on time sheet and turn in time
sheet according to deadlines set on payroll schedule
- Comply with ALL appropriate section of Chapter HFS 172
Safety, Maintenance and Operation of public Swimming
Pools.
- Surveillance and attention to patrons and areas of the
pool, whirlpool and pool deck
- Recognize emergencies and react accordingly, utilizing
rescue skills, first aid and CPR as necessary
- Follow and enforce policies and procedures of the Kenosha
YMCA and educate patrons as needed
- Preventive maintenance as necessary to prevent injuries
by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or
behaviors
- Project yourself with an aura of authority while maintaining
a positive image through tact and genuine concern for
the pool users
- Willingness to sub for other guards as needed and check
sub-board listing periodically
- Greet members and participants in a friendly manner,
but limit conversation to concentrate on observing the
pool area for safety.
- Walk the circumference of the pool every 15 minutes.
- Complete accident/incident reports as needed.
- Report failing equipment to supervisor.
