In 2025 community support dollars made it possible to…

  • Create inclusive play for over 200 young athletes participate in adaptive sports programs.
  • Support nearly 150 Kenosha area students in improving math and reading skills in our Achievers program.
  • Provide 2,518 swim lessons that teach confidence, swimming skills, and lifesaving Safety Around Water instruction.
  • Ensure access to Y programs for 1,183 children, adults, and families through our John & Judy Wavro Scholarship Fund.
  • Empower cancer survivors to rebuild strength, balance, and community through LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA.

EVENTS & PROGRAMS

YOUTH SPORTS: Offer children the opportunity to be part of a team, socialize in a positive environment, work together and develop fundamental skills.

MIRACLE LEAGUE & SUPER ALL STARS: Sports programs including baseball, basketball, soccer, and dance, designed exclusively for children with physical and developmental disabilities.

YOUTH CAMPS: Providing children with a fun and safe place to be when school is out. Activities promote a positive and safe environment that fosters development and fun.

JAGUARS SWIM TEAM: Our first swim team! This is a sanctioned team focusing on providing children with a consistent opportunity to develop their competitive skills, be part of a team and instill a lifelong interest in swimming.

COMMUNITY FAMILY FUN DAYS: Offered at Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. These are fun family events that include activities and food!

ACHIEVERS PROGRAM: In partnership with KUSD, the Achievers program is located at Frank Elementary (Frank Neighborhood Project), Brass Community School, Lincoln Middle School, Mahone Middle School, and Wilson Elementary. This program strives to meet the needs of Kenosha’s under served children and families through activities designed to address their physical, emotional, and educational needs. EVENTS & PROGRAMS

46TH ANNUAL FIRECRACKER 10K/5K: A Kenosha tradition! This run takes participants through the beautiful Historic Third Avenue District.

HEALTHY LIVING FAIR: Geared toward all ages, vendor, sponsor and health provider booths; as well as activities and demonstrations.

LIVESTRONG AT THE YMCA: An evidence-based program that helps adult cancer survivors reclaim their health and well-being following a cancer diagnosis… at no cost to the participant.

BLOOD PRESSURE SELF MONITORING PROGRAM: Helps adults with hypertension achieve the goal of lowering and managing their blood pressure through increased awareness of triggers that elevate it.

EVENTS & PROGRAMS

35TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING: Our largest fundraising event of the year, this outing is enjoyed by community and business leaders coming together in support of our community.

SAFETY AROUND WATER: Teaching children how to be safe around water is not a luxury; it is a necessity. The Y’s Safety Around Water program helps make sure youth learn essential water safety skills, allowing them to satisfy their curiosity safely.

ANNUAL LUNCHEON: Each year we bring together community leaders, donors, and members to celebrate the successes and stories of our YMCA community. The Kenosha Y improves the health and well-being of thousands of children and families in our county.

KENOSHA YMCA FALL FESTIVAL: We are starting a new tradition and celebrating the Kenosha YMCA. This 2nd year even is scheduled to take place on a Saturday on October 7, 2023. This family friendly event will include: a Family Carnival & Activities, Community & Commercial Vendors, Live Music, Food Vendors, Contests and more!
