The Kenosha YMCA Before and After school program is offered throughout the community and is more than just a safe place before and after school for students. The BASE (Before and After School Enrichment) program is focused on enrichment and learning for everyday life.

Tri My Best Triathlon is open to anyone with special needs including physical, cognitive, emotional, or psychological disabilities. Nearly 100 athletes will take part in the seventh annual Tri My Best Triathlon — one of the feel-good events of the summer — on Sunday (Aug. 1) at the Kenosha YMCA, 7101 53rd St.

With public pools and beaches opening again this summer, there will certainly be excitement around water! The Kenosha Safety Around Water Coalition is campaigning during the National Safety Around Water month of May tips for safety around water.

The Kenosha Safety Around Water Coalition urges the community not to recreate on the ice in the Kenosha harbor. Lake Michigan, and the harbor area in particular present significant dangers. This remains true in the winter months.

During the month of November, we are using the Kenosha Y’s social media to shine a light on the good things in life and the Y’s positive impact on our community with #30DaysOfThanks.

During the pandemic, the Kenosha Y stepped up with emergency childcare for essential workers—now continuing through a safe, fun, and educational summer program for local families.
