Child Care Benefits at the Kenosha YMCA

Taking care of yourself as a parent is hard. Scheduling the time to work out seems impossible. The kids are always running around, and you don’t have time to find quality child care every time you want to hit the gym.

But what if your gym doubled as a child care center?

What if this child care was included in your gym membership?

It almost seems too good to be true, but luckily at the Kenosha YMCA, we got you covered. Keep reading to learn the benefits of working out as a parent and the advantages of the Y’s child care services.

Working Out As a Parent: The Benefits

Working out is an integral part of self-care as a parent. When you work out, you release endorphins. Simply put, endorphins make you happy and can aid in feelings of depression or anxiety.

Likewise, for some parents, time at the gym can be the only alone time you get. Working out can be a great place to focus on yourself, unwind after a long day, or get energized before your day has begun. And when you work out at the Y, you can exercise comfortably knowing that your kids are safe and having fun.

Advantages of the YMCA’s Child Care Services

There are many advantages to the Y’s child care services.

For starters, you can take your child(ren) to the gym with you without having to drop them off at a child care facility or a babysitter. And when you are finished working out, it is a simple matter of picking up your child from our very own Kid’ Club.

More so, Kid’s Club is included in your membership. After an annual fee of $25, the Y’s child care program is free to you. This means you don’t have to worry about the cost of child care or spending money on a babysitter every time you want to work out.

Safe and Fun Child Care

Child care at the Y is not only safe but fun for your child. While you are busy working out, our friendly and trained staff will be entertaining your child while they spend time learning, having fun, enjoying arts and crafts, or even having supervised gym time.

Of course, you want your child to be as safe as possible while working out, and their health and safety are a priority for us also. That’s why, at this time, we only accommodate less than 12 children at a time. In addition, all children must be in good health and pass a COVID-19 screening of a temperature and symptoms check.

One of The Many Perks of the YMCA
